Day 4 in Seoul!
If you are a fan of SM Town Artists, I highly recommend you to sign up on this website. Why?
Listen up mis amigos! It’s for free and super informative! We checked out each individual floor and they told us a little something about everything. What this was for and where all these things come from and why they are here as they are. And don’t worry, there is plenty of time to go around and take photos of each of your favourite artists’ corners (which btw are incredibly fun and nicely decorated). All the original outfits from the perfomance and music videos our idols wore are on display as well as NCT’s locker/dance room. The tour guide even gave us little tips and secrets that most visitors will not notice.
An example would be the match maker in the very back corner of the last floor. Here, you can find the golden hands? I honestly don’t know what it is actually made of but they are sculptures of the hands of every artist that works at SM (so you can see how tiny Eunhyuk’s hands are!)
So what is this match maker I am talking about? Basically, you can put your hand on this display (and I believe you choose your favourite band and bias before that) and by scanning your hand it tells you how compatible you are, which I think is pretty sweet. (I think my score with Donghae was around 70% which I’ll accept since he is married to Eunhyuk anyway.)
They also have some really amazing 3D printed models of some of the artists in life-size with the original costume/outfit they were wearing. (So you can see how huge Suho actually is. He is infact not a tiny baby as I imagined. And let’s not even talk about MAX Changmin.)
In the museum, there are some green screens basically where you can virtually “interact” with your idols, and take a group photo and get it printed when you leave (with extra costs of course but it’s a cool concept nonetheless).
There was a recreation of what SMTOWN live would look like backstage, and I felt like a star I noticed that I have quite a few of the products that they are using for the artist (like Innisfree No Sebum powder and Avéne Mist lol). So this is the closest I can get to getting the beautiful complexion of these Idols.
I was really lucky that there was an exhibition of an EXO photoshoot that I could drool over –because omg the photos were so beautiful and candid and natural and so pure and did I say beautiful already? because omg- These photos have apparently never been released anywhere and were in fact on sale and who ever got their hands on some with an original autograph (yes mis amigos you heard me. EXO apparently came in sometime to sign some of the photos. I am totally not crying right now)
Overall the tourguide was super, super friendly and hospitable. Her English was very good and it was super pleasant You might even be able to make some cool friends (if you aren’t anti-social butterflies like we were).
To finish this off, I’d just like to say that the outfits from Girl’s Generation that were on display were from Seohyun (I believe) and if you know her somewhat, you know that she is pretty tall (unlike me). Yet, the outfits seemed to look like they barely even fit me and I am unfortunately on the more underweight side. So I think Seohyun needs to eat more to become a healthy human being and because it was just so unbelievable how small the outfits were.
I hope you get to go here too!
